Reis Magos Fort
Perched on a hill overlooking the narrowest point of the Mandovi River estuary, Reis Magos Fort stands as a testament to the strategic genius and rich history of Goa. Originally built in 1551 by the Portuguese, this fort has witnessed the ebb and flow of empires, from its role as a military outpost against the Marathas to its later use as a prison and even a hospital. As you ascend the steep slope to the fort, the rugged laterite walls and the cannons pointing out over the river evoke a sense of history and defense. Inside, you'll find a cultural and heritage centre, complete with exhibitions on Goan history and the works of cartoonist Mario Miranda. The views from the ramparts are breathtaking, offering a panoramic glimpse of the Mandovi River and the surrounding countryside. At its base, the Reis Magos Church, dedicated to the Three Wise Men, adds another layer of historical and cultural significance to this captivating site.

Good Service
You would "feel the history" if you knew the story of the fort and got up to its watch tower. This fort feels special, especially considering the vantage view when we reach up the tower.
