As the tide ebbs, the waters part to reveal a sandbar, inviting you to wade through the knee-deep waters and step into a forest teeming with life. Here, shy monkeys dart through the treetops, their curious eyes peeking out from the foliage. The air is thick with the scent of tropical flora, and the sound of waves gently lapping against the shore creates a soothing melody. As you explore, keep an eye out for dolphins playing in the waves off the western edge, and marvel at the stunning rock formations that line the mainland shores. Island as an island. There is little reason to go to it at low water. It's covered in greenery that you have to wade through. There seem to be monkeys there, and a ranger is always present. But you usually can't see either of them. Well, you can still go around the island at high tide on a boat or kayak. But this pleasure is below average. There are probably no other reasons to pay attention to the island. Well, except that it gives to Palolem Bay a certain symmetry and completeness.

A small quaint island in North Goa, Raneache Zuvem is an excellent viewing point with a few houses, a temple, and backwaters. The island is home to approximately 30 houses and is known for its unique traditions, including the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. It's a perfect place to spend a day lazing out.

Ensure that it's low tide while crossing the sea. We had a tough time coming back when the water had risen. The island as such is green and beautiful. This place is supposedly called Monkey Island, but we couldn't spot a single one. We visited from the northern end of Palolem beach at low tide & crossed over to this green island with trees & shrubs. Lovely sunset to watch with not many people around & food shopping stalls.
