Introduction to Cabo de Rama Fort

Perched atop a cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea, Cabo de Rama Fort stands as a testament to Goa's rich and tumultuous history. Located in the picturesque Canacona region of South Goa, this medieval hillfort is a blend of ancient legends and architectural grandeur. As you approach the fort, the narrow palm-fringed lanes and quaint Goan houses give way to an imposing entrance that leads to an open ground, where the ruins of the fort's walls and the majestic Chapel of Saint Anthony await. The air is filled with the scent of palm trees and the sound of waves crashing against the steep cliffs below, offering breathtaking vistas of Colva beach and the Canacona stretch. Here, the remnants of Hindu, Muslim, and Portuguese rule converge, creating a unique and captivating destination that whispers stories of the past through its crumbling battlements and serene ambiance.

Amazing Service

We never expected Goa to have such awesome views of the hills and the sea all rolled into one fabulous vista. The extended drive was well worth every minute, for the glorious views from this place. Also, quite clean. Cabo De Rama is well worth traveling all the way down. It's a long drive that takes you through a jungle area as well with some really steep roads at times. The view from the fort is simply breathtaking and so much that we found it difficult to leave that place!

Amazing Service

We stopped here for a little while. The fort and the views from the fort are just awesome and a complete surprise. You can just keep walking along the battlements and the vistas keep opening up and are a real surprise. We went away thinking that we could easily have spent a couple more hours wandering around here.
