Introduction to Basilica of Bom Jesus

Nestled in the historic heart of Old Goa, the Basilica of Bom Jesus stands as a testament to the rich cultural and architectural heritage of this vibrant Indian state. This 17th-century marvel, with its imposing red-laterite stone façade and a blend of Doric and Corinthian styles, is more than just a church; it's a symphony of stone, art, and faith. As you step inside, the simplicity of the exterior gives way to a dazzling interior adorned with marble floors, precious stone mosaics, and a towering golden altar that seems to touch the heavens. Good Service

This chapel is a serene oasis, especially for nature lovers. The liturgy is well-done, and the music is a pleasure to hear. The setting, though not in a natural environment like some other St. Francis chapels, has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The psalm settings and the friendly peace ceremony make it a peaceful experience.

Good Service

We had a blast at St. Francis Xavier The music ministry is top-notch, blending contemporary and traditional vibes. The children’s choir adds a sweet touch, and the teen music ensemble is awesome. The after-service coffee and donuts are a great way to mingle. It’s a vibrant community with lots of energy and friendly faces.

Good Service

As a single parent with teens, I found St. Francis Xavier to be a great place for family bonding. The children’s and teen choirs are fantastic opportunities for my kids to get involved. The church is safe and welcoming, with orderly communion and a friendly congregation. The music and preaching are good, making it a great spot for family worship and community engagement.
