What to expect
Arrival & Check-In
Arrive at the designated surf point on Arambol Beach and check in with the Goa Surf School team.
Instructor Meet & Greet
Meet your certified surf instructor who will be guiding you through your session.
Gear Selection
Based on your height, weight, and skill level, the instructor will help you select the right surfboard and leash.
Safety & Theory
Briefing learn the essential rules of the ocean, how to read waves, and how to handle your board safely in the water.
Land Practice: The Stance
On the sand, practice the correct foot placement and stance to ensure you are balanced before hitting the water.
Land Practice: The Pop-Up
Master the "pop-up" technique—the transition from lying down to standing on the board—through several repetitions on the beach.
Entering the Water
Carry your board into the waist-deep water under the watchful eye of your instructor. Guided Wave Catching Your instructor will help you time the waves and give you a gentle push to help you catch your first few rides.
Independent Practice or Rental Time
Once you find your balance, spend time catching waves on your own or continue your rental period independently.
Equipment Return & Wrap-Up
Head back to the shore, return your gear, and conclude your session with feedback from your instructor.
