What to expect
Arrival & Check-In
Reach the designated surf point at Agonda Beach and complete your registration for either a lesson or rental.
Meet Your Instructor
Get introduced to your trained surf coach who will assess your skill level and prepare your equipment.
Board Selection & Gear Up
Pick out a surfboard suited to your height and weight, and attach the safety leash to your ankle.
Ocean Safety Briefing
Listen to a brief talk about wave patterns, current safety, and how to handle the board in the water.
Land Drill: Body Positioning
Learn exactly where to lie on the board on the sand to ensure you have the correct center of gravity.
Land Drill: The "Pop-Up"
Practice the transition from lying down to standing up in one fluid motion before you ever touch the water.
Warm-Up & Stretching
Engage in light stretching to prepare your muscles for the paddling and balancing required in the surf.
Entering the Water
Carry your board into the waist-deep water under the guidance of your instructor, learning how to pass through small waves.
Catching Your First Waves
With a gentle push from your coach, time the waves and practice your pop-up to catch your first ride toward the shore.
Coached Refinement & Wrap-Up
Receive real-time feedback on your stance and balance, return your gear, and enjoy a well-earned rest on the beach.
