São Jacinto Island
In the serene Mormugao bay, São Jacinto Island is a hidden gem that whispers tales of Goa's rich history and natural splendor. This tiny island, connected to the mainland by the elegantly named Silver Gate Bridge, is a world apart from the bustling beaches and vibrant markets of Goa. As you step onto its soil, the dense forests envelop you, and the old, quaint houses in the southwestern coast tell stories of a bygone era. The air is filled with the gentle rustle of leaves and the soft chirping of birds, creating a symphony of tranquility. At the heart of the island stands the picturesque St. Hyacinth Church, its feast celebrated with fervor on the last Sunday of September. An old Portuguese lighthouse, now a relic of the past, stands guard, while the locals protect the island's biodiversity with a passion that's as old as the island itself. Here, time slows down, and the beauty of nature and culture blend seamlessly, making São Jacinto Island a perfect escape for those seeking calm amidst the chaos.

Good Service
Beautiful island in a peaceful location. Such a cozy little island that is inhabited by some Catholic families. These families have been living there for generations. Sadly, the government is eyeing this island to take over from this community, in the name of a naval base. We visited here today, morning. We loved the nature and beauty of the place. The view is very good. We roamed here. There is a school attached to the church.
Good Service
Beautiful and peaceful property. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great time fishing and with the activity staff. Sanisha was great.
Amazing Service
A non-tourist bit of Goa - delightful. Sunday morning and we travelled along the road from the Zuari River Train Bridge to this small island in the Estuary of the River. It is connected to the mainland via a causeway, which we drove over and parked up by the Church, Sao Jacinto Church. After a visit to the Church we went for a short walk and past by colourfully painted houses, some in need of repair.
