Overview
The Boca de Vaca spring is one of the two springs that exist in Panaji, Goa. It is a perennial spring, and the water is believed to have some medicinal properties. The appearance of the Portuguese-built structure around the spring gives it the appearance of the face of a cow, hence the name ‘Boca De Vaca’. The floor of the well-lit tunnel inside is made of transparent glass, and one can see the spring water flowing under your feet. On most days, soothing background music plays as you make your way through the tunnel. In the past, the Boca de Vaca spring was a major source of drinking water for the city. The best way to experience the mystic wonders of this spring is to visit it.
