What to expect

Arrive at the Boarding Point:

Reach the northern end of Palolem Beach where the river meets the sea. Meet your team and take a moment to enjoy the seaside morning or evening atmosphere.

Meet Your Captain & Safety Briefing:

Meet your experienced local boat captain, who will outfit you with proper safety gear/life jackets and share a brief safety protocol for the boat journey ahead.

Boarding the Boat:

Board the boat safely with the captain's assistance. Find a comfortable seat on board and settle in as the boat detaches from the shore.

Entering the Mangrove Canals:

Leave the open beach area behind and enter the sheltered backwater channels as you navigate through lush, green mangrove forests and serene tree-lined waterways.

Bird Spotting & Wildlife Observation:

The captain slows the boat down while cruising past key birding habitats. Watch for Brahminy Kites soaring overhead and colourful Kingfishers perching on mangrove roots.

Cruising Traditional Riverside Scenery:

Glide further down the tranquil stream to take in classic rural Goan views—undisturbed banks, dense foliage, and calm waters away from commercial crowds.

Scenic Pause & Photo Opportunities:

Enjoy a brief pause in a calm stretch of the backwaters to take photos of the mangroves, sky reflections, and surrounding scenery in quiet stillness.

Return Journey & Disembarkation:

Turn around and enjoy a gentle glide back along the waterway toward the landing spot, disembarking safely back at Palolem shore.
